About Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights

The gates of Shalom Memorial Park Jewish Cemetery reads “Beit HaChaim”which means “The House of the Living”.

Our gates proclaim this because it is our mission to respect and care for our departed in the dignified and loving manner they deserve, while always serving the needs of the living.  L’Dor v’Dor … From Generation to Generation.

We keep Shalom Memorial Park’s 135-acre park-like setting in pristine condition for the comfort of our visitors. Designed in the Memorial Park Movement, Shalom’s grounds are open, manicured spaces to be a comfortable, meditative place suited for reflection, visitation, and prayer.  We are committed to sustaining a loving memory when one comes to pay respects over the individual memorials for those they have loved.

Shalom provides a wide variety of burial options for individuals, spouses, and for families throughout the Jewish cemetery.

Throughout the Park, you will find enduring bronze memorials designed for individuals, companions, or for families.  Having a place to visit provides an important focal point for memorializing those who have passed.  To remember, and be remembered, are natural human needs.“Show me the manner in which a nation cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender mercy of its people, their respect for the laws of the land, and their loyalty to high ideals.” ~ Sir William Gladstone

The cemetery grounds feature carefully selected Sculpture and Artwork, the Shalom Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, the Beth She’arim Mausoleum, Private Family Estates, the Migdal Hazikaron, and Traditional Burial Property.

For these reasons, Shalom Memorial has become the Jewish cemetery of choice for the Jewish communities of Chicago and the North Shore Suburbs with official affiliations with over 50 local congregations.

We are conveniently located in Arlington Heights and easily accessible from Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

It is crucially important to note that Shalom Memorial Park is a Perpetual Care Cemetery.  This means that future generations of loved ones will never be burdened with charges and it ensures that the entire cemetery will be uniformly well maintained.
