On November 28, 1912 the Trustees of First Reformed Church of South Holland, IL were given the charge to purchase seven acres of ground near Oak Glen for a cemetery. This tract was purchased within the year at a cost of $3,300, and was given the name Oak Ridge Cemetery. From those humble beginnings, Oak Ridge Cemetery has served as a peaceful and serene resting place for individuals and families throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Still owned and operated by First Reformed Church, Oak Ridge Cemetery is a religious burial ground that welcomes the opportunity to serve individuals and families of the Reformed community as they celebrate life and witness to the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
